11.1 License Activation – Failed to send request or receive a response for an unspecified reason

If you have received this error while attempting to activate Preactor with a FlexNet license, it could be because the username you are logged in as, domain name, or the computer’s name, contains ‘special’ characters – such as:  é ñ ü ć  – any character not in the English alphabet.  

To solve this, log in as a user that only has English characters in their username and/or change the computer/domain name so that no ‘special’ characters are used.

NOTE: 11.1 SP1 will include an automatic workaround for this issue.
